Inspiration m2s

By E. H. Banditentraum x Wie Ibikus x Tornado x Impuls.
Chestnut.
Born 1994. Deceased 2009.
Registered by the Trakehner Verband.

Before being retired due to injury Inspiration m2s was competed by an amateur rider in Germany under the name Bakkarole. She won riding horse classes with scores consistently in the range of 8.5-9 for her trot, 8.5 for her walk, and 7.5-8 for her canter. She won 3rd level dressage classes with scores as high as 85%. Her trot has been described as the "most breathtaking, classical 'Banditentraum' with amazing push and impulsion, with not so much knee." Inspiration m2s is beautifully linebred to the very important Trakehner sires Ibikus two times and to Impuls six times. In 2005 Inspiration m2s produced the colt Abikus m2s (by the Trakehner sire Kostolany), her first foal. In 2006 she produced the colt foal Baryshnikov m2s by the Trakehner stallion Best Before Midnight (Sir Shostakovich xx x Bajar ShA x Gabriel), purchased as a foal by the Irish international dressage rider Judy Reynolds.

Sire: E. H. Banditentraum was the 1987 Warendorf 100 Day Stallion Test Champion and has been declared an elite stallion (or, in German, E.H. for Elite Hengst). He has made important contributions to dressage breeding in the Trakehner, Hanoverian, and Westfalian studbooks. The German Federation has estimated a dressage breeding index score of 129 for Banditentraum while the Hanoverian studbook has estimated a score of 134 with sub-scores of 150 for trot, 117 for canter, 110 for walk, and 139 for rideability. Banditentraum's most famous international dressage progeny is Kira K. He has also produced approved sons including Bernstein, the champion of the Danish Warmblood stallion approval of 1998.

Dam: Iduna IV is from the mare line of Irka xx, which has produced approved stallions, showjumpers, eventing horses, and international dressage horses. Iduna IV is by Wie Ibikus (Ibikus x Carajan). Wie Ibikus sired four approved sons in only two breeding seasons: Kiebitz, the sire of Banditentraum; 1980 Neumuenster Champion Santiago, whose son and daughter, Campari and Cancara, were the most successful German event horse of 1995 and Champion mare of the 1995 testing, respectively; the elite stallion Vatout, who is also approved in Rheinland, Oldenburg, Holland, and the Anglo-European Studbook; and Ferrum. The dam's dam is Ismene V (by Tornado) out of Isis II (by Impuls) . Ismene V is also the dam of the approved sire Ith (by Ibikus), who sired the approved stallions Antares and Belmont. Tornado produced the approved sons Ingo, Kopernikus, and Polar; his daughter Paradiestraum is dam of Ingrid Klimke's approved son Pinot, a horse that won CIC***, FEI dressage and showjumper classes. The stallion Impuls is considered by many experts to be the most important post-World War II sire in the Trakehner breed. In the words of one expert, Maren Engelhardt, "He lived there (the Webelsgrund Stud) his entire life, sired 15 approved sons, 9 of them were born in Webelsgrund. Over 100 daughters are registered with the Trakehner Verband and 14 times his children won the most prestigious young horse competition of the world, the German National Championships."
